Fudan University plans to set up Campus in BudapestDecember 16, 2020
As Hungary Today reports, the Innovation and Technology Minister László Palkovics and Xu Ningsheng, the president of China’s Fudan University signed a memorandum of understanding regarding the setting up a Fudan University’s campus in Budapest. Fudan University, one of China’s most influential and world’s top universities, will thus become the first Chinese university that will establish a campus abroad. This initiative will help connect China not only with Hungary but also with the wider region, in which Budapest will remain on the top of the list of Southeast European cities which have developed a fruitful cooperation with China. Fudan’s decision to expand to Hungary can also be seen as an attempt to further strengthen the ongoing 17+1 cooperation framework.
